Experimenting with Aluminum Foil

An online BJD store I frequent, The Junky Spot, had a photo contest recently and I decided to participate.  The goal was to make something out of aluminum foil.  I came up with a few ideas and had my Limhwa ladies model the foil fashions.  Above is Limhwa Lily wearing a fitted dress.  The belt is embossed with a hand-drawn motif to provide texture.  Each section of the dress has a paper backing to keep structure and prevent crinkling of the foil.

The second photo is a much smaller doll, Limhwa Sara.  She's one of my favorite BJDs in my collection.  I pulled out all kinds of fashion doll accessories and went wild.  The gems are hand applied.  I especially like the Integrity Toys ring on her pinky.

Overall, I can't say I would work with foil again, but it was nice to think outside of the box when designing doll fashions.
