It’s about time I dabbled in more miniatures. In between some of my larger ceramic projects, I make itty bitty pieces to strengthen my miniature-making skills. I wanted to try a mushroom motif on my tiny canisters, tea set, vessels, and other cute tiny wares. The mushrooms are hand-painted with Amaco underglaze. Most of these items are 1:12 or 1:10 scale. The last picture has a penny to show scale of the set. More pics detailing the scale of each item is available on Instagram.
Making miniatures is a real joy. People that work with me at the studio get a kick out of seeing me paint tiny designs while wearing my giant magnifying visor glasses. I hope to make many more miniatures in the future. Maybe more mushrooms? Time will tell.
